Project CRD D – Integrated use: Acceptance and Sustainability of Socio-Technical IoP
The cluster of excellence Internet of Production, shortform IoP, has the vision to enable a new level of cross-domain collaboration in the production domain by providing semantically adequate and context-aware data from production, development and usage in real-time on an appropriate level of granularity.
The central scientific approach is the introduction of Digital Shadows as purpose-driven, aggregated, multi-perspective and persistent datasets.
The Cluster of Excellence will design and implement a conceptual reference infrastructure for the Internet of Production that enables the generation and application of Digital Shadows.
The cluster can be regarded as the core of industry 4.0 and follows on from the successful work of the cluster "Integrative Production Technology for High-Wage Countries". It represents an important milestone for the further development of application-oriented and innovative solutions in the field of production technology.
The Human-Computer Interaction Center, HCIC for short, is part of three research areas within the Cluster of Excellence:
- Functional Perspective within the CRD A
- Acceptance and sustainability of the IoP within the CRD D
- Research School
The overall objective of CRD D is to design user-centered communication, interaction, and knowledge transfer between the entities of a digitalized, socio-technical production system under consideration of change to enhance acceptance and sustainability of the IoP.
Hereto, we focus on the systematic analysis and understanding of human knowledge and expertise in the context of production to enhance hybrid teamwork between all entities of socio-technical production systems. Also, we create and ensure ergonomic, transparent, trustful, and responsible interfaces and learning decision support systems for the IoP.
Goals are the efficient collaboration and cooperation of human, robots, and smart agents in digitalized production systems in the IoP and the creation of the basis for organizational, strategic realignment and derivation of requirements by reflecting human needs due to changing markets and changing user behavior.
