Description

Julia Offermann has been a research assistant at the Chair of Communication Science and Human-Computer Interaction Center since 2015. Previously, she studied technology communication with mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University and worked as a student assistant in the area of eHealth at the Human Technology Center during her studies since 2012.

After her final thesis on the acceptance of CO2-based plastic products, Julia worked with a focus on technology acceptance, user diversity and human-technology interaction in various research projects. In addition to innovations in the energy and mobility sector, she was particularly active in the area of health-related technologies and developments and completed her doctorate at the chair on the topic of perspective-dependent perception of aging and care associated with the acceptance of assistive technology.

Julia is currently involved in the Optimal@NRW project, among others, where she is investigating the acceptance and perception of telemedical care in elderly and nursing care facilities.
