Dr. Dipl.-Psych. Wiktoria Wilkowska

Wiktoria Wilkowska is senior researcher at the Human-Computer Interaction Center (HCIC) and lecturer at the Department of Communication Science at the RWTH Aachen University.

Wiktoria is a psychologist with a focus on industrial and organizational psychology and she has completed her studies at the University of Giessen and RWTH Aachen University. In her interdisciplinary doctoral study at the Human Technology Centre at RWTH Aachen, Wiktoria dealt with the exploration of relevant patterns of technology acceptance and the identification of factors that determine a successful interaction and a long-term adoption of medical assistance systems (eHealth) in home environments (Ambient Assisted Living).

Since 2007 she has worked as a Research Associate on thematically diverse projects located at non-profit organisations like The Association of German Engineers and RWTH Aachen University. She also has an experience in psychological assessment and creation of medical-psychological reports assessing the persons’ physical and mental ability to drive a car (Obergutachterstelle des Landes NRW, Cologne).

Currently Wiktoria is working at Human-Computer Interaction Center and Department of Communication Science at RWTH Aachen University. Her research activities include empirical modelling of technology acceptance, taking into account different user profiles (user diversity), contexts of use and types of technology, as well as eLearning, user experience and usability testing. As a lecturer she performs courses and supervises Bachelor and Master theses as well as internships for students.
