Teresa Brell , M.A.

Teresa Brell is a PhD student and scientific assistant at the Human Computer Interaction Centre (HCIC) at RWTH Aachen University. She works at the Human Technology Centre (HumTec) in the interdisciplinary research project UFO.

She studied communication science and english studies at RWTH Aachen university where she finished her studies in 2013 with the final degree of a Master of Arts (M.A.). During her studies, she worked as a student researcher in different HumTec projects: eHealth, Humic and eConnect. Her master thesis was about the success and sustainability of interdisciplinary communication.

She worked in the UFO project FuEco. Within the interdisciplinary group, Teresa Brell investigated user profiles in urban systems with regard to the demographic change. She focused the combined stresses like heat, noise and particulate matter.

Currently, Teresa is also part in the setup of the Center for European Research on Mobility (CERM), a test center for the research of communication and networking in the context of mobility and traffic. One focus lies on the study of user acceptance of interconnected assistance systems. She focuses in further projects (I2EASE) on privacy and data security issues in autonmous and connected driving. Also new information and communication strategies are of main interest.
