Prof. Dr. Martina Ziefle

Martina Ziefle ist seit 2008 Professorin für Communication Science und Leiterin der eHealth Forschungsgruppe „Enhancing Mobility with Aging“ am Human Technology Centre der RWTH Aachen University. Martina Ziefle studierte Psychologie an den Universitäten Göttingen und Würzburg. Ihr Studium schloss sie mit Auszeichnung an der Universität Würzburg ab. An der Université Fribourg, Schweiz, promovierte Martina Ziefle mit summa cum laude. An der RWTH Aachen habilitierte sich Martina Ziefle mit einer Arbeit, die sich mit dem Leseprozess an elektronischen Medien befasste. Im Anschluss an die Habilitation übernahm Martina Ziefle eine Stelle als Assistenzprofessorin, zunächst an der Universität Münster, danach an der RWTH Aachen.

Die Forschungsschwerpunkte von Martina Ziefle liegen in der Schnittstelle zwischen Mensch und Technik, unter Einbezug verschiedener Nutzungskontexte und Nutzer- anforderungen. Besonders im sensitiven Bereich der eHealth Technologien spielt User diversity und Technik-Akzeptanz eine entscheidende Rolle. Über Lehr- und Forschungs- aufgaben in HumTec hinaus ist Martina Ziefle an einer Reihe drittmittelfinanzierter Projekte öffentlicher und industrieller Geldgeber beteiligt, die sich mit den Themen Kommunikation und Interaktion zwischen Mensch und Technik, Technikakzeptanz und User diversity befassen.
