eHealth: "myGreenSpace" by Kai Kasugai and Felix Heidrich wins 1st Price at the Nokia Ubimedia Award

Kai Kasugai and Felix Heidrich were awarded the 1st prize at the Nokia Ubimedia Award with the project "myGreenSpace". The competition was part of the 14th Mindtrek Conference in Tampere, Finland, and was open to all kinds of artists, practitioners, and industries. As one of three finalists, they were invited to the conference and the award ceremonies. On October 7th, the final winner was announced and the jury chose their project. An excerpt of the press release:

Calling myGreenspace mere virtual wallpaper does not quite get the point. It is the content and the target group that make it an outstanding project. An interactive forest scene brings the green of nature back to elderly people who can hardly leave their home in urban environments. Personal and social data can be rendered into the virtual forest landscape as ambient information in a friendly and unobtrusive way. The high commercial viability of this great project is well summarized by one of our jury members: "I love it and want one."
