Project CAIRO

The project "Context Aware Intermodal Routing" is sponsored by the Federal Ministry for Economy. The object of this interdisciplinary joint project is the development of technology-carried mobility and traffic services in public passenger traffic.

The object of this interdisciplinary joint project is the development of technology-carried mobility and traffic services in public passenger traffic. The aim of the joint group of Deutsche Bahn AG, HaCon, InnoZ,  the traffic group Berlin Brandenburg, RWTH Aachen University (Informatics 4, Communication Science/psychology, text linguistics and technology communication) and other partners lies in the development of a personalized, adaptive, and context-sensitive technical travel assistance system provided via mobile phone.

In several iterative loops the development of the system is carried out. The usability, intelligibility, and acceptance of these new mobile context-sensitive customer information systems are tried for multimodal travel scenarios in which different kinds of information and exercises, their implementation, and tests with target groups are examined against the background of demands provided specifically for user groups.
